Saturday saw Joe,Dan and Louis racing in Lancashire at The Oakenclough RR, very hilly 120km. Unfortunately Joe’s run of bad luck continued with another crash, caused by poor road conditions. Not long after Dan crashed too. Both are ok although Joe has a problem wityh his hand which prevented him from riding on Sunday.

Louis made it into the race winning move of 8 riders, including JLT, Madison Genesis, Canyon Eisberg. With the constant climbing and decending this was a tough day. Louis finished a solid 6th place behind winner Ian Bibby of JLT.

Sunday’s Danum Trophy is a pretty local race, near Doncaster. It is a mini classic race, with great history of winners from the north over the decades. The field was very strong, with almost every serious team in the UK represented. Charlie made the first serious move of the day, but it was reeled in. Not long after, Harry escaped the bunch with 1 other rider. As more riders made it across to them the group established as a 15 man group. This break was very strong and would be the winning move. The guys rode very well, and we had Harry, Kieran and Louis there. The only team with 3 riders. With 30km to go a group 7 formed and worked hard to build a gap. With Kieran there, Harry and Louis simply had to follow the attacks behind. Kieran rode well, but having had a short bout of illness and not training properly this week, he wasn’t at his best. Kieran finished a respectable 6th, behind winner Matt Holmes of Madison Genesis, with Louis 12th. Harry, Charlie and Dan were not far behind. Tactically the guys had ridden well showing they are moving in the right direction as a team.

well done lads.
