Sunday took us down to Milton Keynes for The Flamme Rouge Kermesse.
125km on a 4km circuit.
The race was held on the locally known “trianlge circuit”, which climbs gently on one side, then on to a flat road through the finish, then gently descends.
The pace was high from the start. Lots of attacks failed as the bunch was relentless in the chase
It proved to be a very difficult race tactically. With no real climb or strong wind to help force selection it was very difficult for breaks to get away.
In the closing stages 2 riders managed to slip away.
Joe took a respectable 6th place salvaging what we could from what was a frustrating race.
