Lincoln GP is the first race in the BC National Series this year. It’s a race with decades of history and loads of prestige. The race was 160km, and tackles the cobbled climb of Michealgate in the centre of the city thirteen times.
It proved a mixed day for us, a crash held up a few of our lads, effectively taking them out of the race, Adam suffered a mechanical, and although he recovered and made it back to the race he had missed a decisive split.
George pulled off a great ride to finish 20th. This could’ve been top ten, had an error negotiating some street furniture not made George miss the final split in the closing stages of the race. James Hartley and Adam, finished respectably in the third group, and gained valuable experience for next years edition of the race.
We stand in ninth place in the National Series Team standings.
