Name:
Alex Foster
Age:
19
Where do you live:
Stockport.
How did you get into cycling:
I originally started just riding a bike with my dad and brother in and around the Peak District then joined a cycling club at the Manchester Velodrome when I was 10. This got me interested in the racing side of the sport and I progressed from there.
Earliest cycling memory:
Riding around Ladybower reservoir in the pouring rain when I was about 6 years old.
Favourite training route:
I haven’t really got a favourite route but I always find myself riding in the Peak District. I like to modify my routes fairly often to keep things interesting.
Favourite film:
Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.
Favourite music:
Anything with a decent tune is good for me but I’d have to say my favourite band is the Arctic Monkeys.
“Must do” pre race ritual:
World Tour race you’d most like to ride:
I’d love to race the monuments at some point. I’d say Milan San Remo is my favourite.
